History of Immigration

The first human inhabitants of the Western Hemisphere are widely believed to have crossed over the prehistoric land bridge near the Bering Sea. New hypotheses have challenged this belief, saying that people arrived much earlier and by a different method. However they arrived, they were the first immigrants to this side of the globe. Then came the brief Nordic or Viking excursions about a thousand years ago. Next came the Europeans.

United States of America

Much has been made of the immigration of hispanics to the US. One issue commonly cited is the idea that illegal immigrants are taking money from "OUR" healthcare system.
